Bear needs a good loving home.

Bear

Bear is a handsome 5 year old Collie mix boy released to the shelter by his owner. Bear is totally ready to go to his new home. Everything is done and Bear has his bags packed! Bear weighs 48 lbs and has a healthy tan and white haircoat, tip over ears and a long tail. He has tested negative for heartworms and is current on all his vaccinations, including Bordetella. Bear is already neutered and microchipped, housebroken, good with children and other pets, including cats and is leash trained. Bear was released by his owners because Bear was digging under the fence - usually a sign of a dog that needs more attention, more exercise, or both.

Our Mission:

The Humane Society of Navarro County is a non-profit 501(c) 3 corporation established according to Texas laws. The mission of the organization is dedicated to preventing suffering, neglect, abuse and cruelty to animals, providing information, raising public awareness of animal issues, promoting responsible pet ownership, and kindness towards all living things. To achieve our mission, we pursue the following goals:
• Reduce the overpopulation and abandonment of domestic animals, primarily cats and dogs, through public education and spay/neuter programs.
• The HSNC maintains a good relationship with the City of Corsicana Animal Shelter and provides support and assistance as they place as many animals as possible into good, appropriate, and permanent homes.
• The HSNC works with City and County officials, local businesses, and concerned citizens in raising awareness and funding for a new shelter facility.
• We operate solely on donations. We are not a shelter or rescue center.
